The Manhole Lid Lifter, unsurprisingly, is an easy and effective way to gain access to even the most painfully solid manhole covers.

A long steel handle provides a huge amount of leverage to get under any lid. An alloy hook eases beneath the lid, which itself can be locked into the pole for simple storage.

The lifter features rubber grips on the handle and foot for non-slip, comfortable usage. While cadmium plating helps prevent rust and give the lid-lifter a long lifespan.

Gas workers, engineers, electricians and other utility workers needing to get into a sewer-lid or perform manhole entry will find the Lid Lifter makes their lives considerably easier.

hello, I work for LA City, Survey Division and we lift storm drain and sewer manhole covers using a standard pull-bar with hook. please confirm this tool is compatible with said covers that look different than the one pictured on your website, namely, they have 'hook holes' on the interior, several inches from the edge, thus NOT on the edge, as pictured.

The Allegro 9401-20 lid lifter is intended for manholes with access openings near the edge of the cover. With no openings near the edge, we would suggest the Allegro 9401-25 or 9401-26 magnetic lid lifters. These are very versatile and are used against some very tough-to-open manhole covers.

Will this work with "standard" manhole covers?
This lid pictured is a vault cover.
