Draeger Pac 3500 H2S Gas Detector with ppm Readout 4543958
Our customers not only love how reliable the sensor is on the Pac 3500 H2S, but also how durable the unit is. It's designed to be impact and chemical resistant, with a housing that features a protective rubber coating. It meets the requirements of IP65 so that in case it's splashed with water, it'll still operate. The detector's D-ring clip is also incredibly durable and designed to withstand impact.
Another popular feature of the Draeger Pac 3500 is that the filter is on the outside of the unit. This makes it incredibly easy to change a filter when the time comes because you won't need to take the monitor apart.
Draeger is a trusted name for not only making some of the most accurate and reliable equipment, but some of the most user-friendly as well. The Pac 3500 is simple to use, with two-button functionality and easy-to-read measurements. Draeger sensor technology is used all over the world not just for safety; their equipment is a common fixture in hospitals, mines, fire departments, and law enforcement agencies.

How big of an area will this monitor? I am using it in an office to detect gases coming in from a stink pipe through our ventilation system. Basically the air intake on the roof is near the plumbing vent pipes. Is this product what I need to do this?1 answer
This is a diffusion monitor, so it will only detect gas that comes in contact with it (as opposed to a pumped monitor that will pull air samples from a remote location). <br>
Typically it is worn by a worker going into an area that may contain sewer gases like methane and hydrogen sulfide. However, if you're trying to see if these types of gases are coming into your office area through an air intake, you can place the monitor in front of the air vent, and it will monitor for dangerous gas levels. The gas concentration will be displayed on the screen and the monitor will go into alarm if any of the OSHA thresholds are passed.
Does this unit have to be bump tested and calibrated?1 answer
This unit doesn't have to be calibrated, but it should be bump tested before each use.
What equipment is needed to bump test this detector?1 answer
You'll need a Draeger 0.5 LPM regulator 4557020, a cylinder of calibration gas, hose, and a calibration adapter that fits over the sensor of the unit.
Does the unit show a reading accurate to 0.1 ppm? For example 4.5 ppm, etc. Or does it round to a whole number.1 answer
The Draeger PAC3500 does indeed have 0.1ppm resolution.
