The M2 sensor/transmitters from RKI Instruments are fixed system, stand-alone, explosion-proof gas monitors that provide direct read-out, and can function alone, or as a part of an integrated system with a controller.

M2 sensor/transmitters are able to connect to virtually any controller, PLC, or DCS, but are designed to work with the Beacon 110, Beacon 200, Beacon 410, or Beacon 800 controllers from RKI.

Installation and maintenance of the M2 series monitors is simple. Calibrations utilizes a magnetic wand technique for performing that doesn't require opening up the sealed housing. Because the unit does not need to be opened for zeroing or calibration, it is not necessary to declassify the surrounding area to perform routine maintenance.

    Can I get cut sheets on RKI M2 gas sensor.
    Does it need to be field calibrated?

      Like all gas monitors, the M2 does need to be calibrated. It can be calibrated in the field, and because it doesn’t have to be opened for zeroing or adjustment, it’s not necessary to shut down and declassify the area for maintenance.
